Most of your costs are covered.
AARO's treatments are claimable under MediShield Life, Medisave, and all major Integrated Shield Plans. Cashless billing is available where applicable. Here's what to expect.
Making cancer care affordable.
We know that cancer treatment costs can be worrying for you and your family. This page helps you understand how to make the most of your financial resources — Medisave, MediShield Life, Integrated Shield Plans, employer cover and international insurance — so you can focus on getting the best care.
Employer & group insurance.
If you're employed, your company's HR department can tell you what medical benefits and insurance coverage you have under its group health plan. If your plan is one of our panels, you may be entitled to cashless service at our clinic. A GP referral letter may be required for your first visit.
Not sure if you're covered? Send us your policy details and we'll check your panel eligibility before your visit.

Integrated Shield Plans.
If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan from an approved private insurer, you'll have higher coverage for cancer treatment — the plan sits on top of what MediShield Life covers. Limits depend on your plan type, so please confirm the exact coverage with your insurer.
The table below shows outpatient cancer treatment limits under a representative private-hospital plan (NTUC Income IncomeShield Plan P). Most other Integrated Shield Plans listed above cover eligible treatment as charged — please confirm your exact plan and limits with your insurer.
| Outpatient treatment | Coverage limit (IncomeShield Plan P)* |
|---|---|
| Chemotherapy | S$4,000 per month |
| Radiotherapy — external / superficial / brachytherapy | S$600 per session |
| Stereotactic Radiotherapy | S$15,600 per session |
| Immunotherapy | S$2,000 per month |
*Limits shown are for one representative plan. Other listed insurers (AIA, Great Eastern, Prudential, Aviva, AXA and NTUC Enhanced IncomeShield) generally cover eligible outpatient cancer treatment as charged, subject to your policy terms.
International insurance.
If you're an expatriate with a plan that covers you globally, please contact your insurer to confirm your coverage. With a Letter of Guarantee, we can arrange direct billing with your insurer.
