Dr Michelle Tseng Shu Fen
Breast, gynaecological and paediatric cancers. Women’s & Children’s Program Director at AARO. Dr Tseng is passionate about women’s health and sub-specialised in women’s cancers so that women have the choice of being cared for by a female specialist.
Dr Tseng completed her medical training at Imperial College London in 2010 with an intercalated BSc, graduating with Distinction in Clinical Practice. She trained in radiation oncology at the National University Hospital, Singapore and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne — where she served as Chief Resident — and obtained her FRANZCR fellowship in 2019, followed by proton therapy training at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital’s Proton and Radiation Therapy Centre in Taipei. Before joining AARO she was a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at NUH and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
Her research has been recognised with the RANZCR Bourne and Langlands Prize (2018) and published in journals including the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics. She has served on the St Jude’s VIVA Asia Pacific Tumour Board for paediatric cancers, contributed to the International Gynaecological Cancer Society’s Global Curriculum, and continues as a Visiting Consultant in gynaecological brachytherapy to NUH and as an examiner for the RANZCR radiation oncology specialist examinations.

Dr Tseng’s clinical research spans breast, gynaecological and paediatric radiation oncology, published in journals including IJROBP and the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer, with a contributed chapter in the textbook “Target Volume Delineation and Field Setup”.
